Turriff Primary School (previously known as Markethill School) is situated in the town of Turriff, Aberdeenshire.
Turriff Primary School has a full time nursery for age 2-5 year olds and is the Enhanced Provision Centre for the Turriff Cluster of Primary Schools. The roll is currently 450 P1-7 pupils and 85 Nursery Children.
This brand new building was officially opened in November 2017 and boasts; eighteen classrooms, life skills rooms, sensory and soft play rooms, a dining room, gym hall, meeting rooms and a community room. Other facilities include extensive school grounds with tarred and grassed areas and an all weather pitch.
The Nursery is self contained within the School. The Ante Pre School and Pre School children enjoy their own entrance and cloakroom that welcomes them in to the large playroom, there is a meeting room, kitchen, gym hall, toilets and changing rooms and their own enclosed outdoor play area that is accessed from the Nursery. The Nursery children also use the School facilities.
Turriff Primary School values all links with the community. After school clubs run most nights of the week.
The school has an active Parent Council and encourages the involvement of Parents in the work of the school.
Through the Pupil Council Reps, House Captains, Play Leaders, Rotakids and the Junior Road Safety Officer group pupils are also involved in the work of the school and its improvements.
